And, although already released 2013 but I found it this year, Alex Puddu's Registrazioni al Buio. Not directly a score but wonderfully in the style of early til mid 70s giallos by Morricone, Nicolai, Fidenco, etc. !!
Surprise-wise, I second Tourist Trap, very enjoyable album. I'll also mention Tangerine Dream's Wavelength which I was unfamiliar with as well. Speaking of which, their rerecording of Sorcerer was a most magical surprise.
I'll also mention Kronos' records excellent double release of Cannibal Ferox / Eaten Alive by Roberto Donati. It has that perfect blend of beats, synth and 70s rock band vibe.
