This was always one of my favorite versions of Jerry Goldsmith's A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN Theme and I found it interesting that it was not included in the materials for the film on the JERRY GOLDSMITH AT 20TH CENTURY FOX Box set.
It's a sort of a minuet version and is played when Francie is walking home from school and passes the white picket fenced house where her father has given the address as hers, in order for her to attend school. Very sweet and energetic cue. Wonder if it was damaged to use on the set?
I've always loved A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN and thought this was one of Jerry's most beautiful and delicate TV-Movie Scores.
