Some UK albums on us iTunes seem to have astonomical prices when compared to UK label download price. John Barry's Definitive Collection 60.00 itunes but silva site $28.00. Jazz on Film 34.99 us but from mooching around 15.00. Jazz on film new wave vol 1-7 34.99 and 69.99 U.S. itunes(yes two prices same album and seen it before) but 16.00 mooching around.
Conversion rates, tariff issues or charge per song?
My best guess is a let song rate calculation that original UK label does not do. Wonder if true on UK iTunes?
One of two things is happening. iTunes has a per track calculation that lets you price albums on number of tracks. May date back to when 10-12 track digital albums 9.99 price. They have .69,.99, 1.29 songs. Second, is label picks number out of air based on shipping and foreign exchange rates for cds.
Exams. 180 track 6 discs silva 28.00 with exchange rate. Cd about he same. Itunes 50-60.00 and amazons cd 50.00-60.00.
Can't figure it out but buy you UK downloads at the UK source. Assuming new UK vat rules about apps don't carry over to downloads.
