Yeah, I often think I'm born at the perfect time (1977). Old enough to have experienced the various technological leaps - from vinyl to cassette to CD to streaming, or the various changes in filmmaking and, should I say, "ways to portray things", but young enough to go somewhat with the flow of current things.

Imagine being between 10 and 15 when Star Wars premiered. To me that was the perfect age. I can’t think of anything that’s had that kind of of cultural impact in my lifetime.

Ooo, I'd have to respectfully disagree. I was born in 1950, & that seems nigh on perfect (maybe the perfect year was 1946, 14 at the start of the sixties), a teenager in the sixties, tons of jobs, cheap houses, great music, & I wasn't born to all this amazing technical stuff, so I don't take it for granted, CDs still seem magical to me, & having your whole music collection contained in something the size of a fag packet....amazing!

I am old, and I can tell you that such lists evolve with time. My main hope nowadays is that, when whatever fatal event or illness eventually takes place, it will be a quick affair with minimal suffering. I especially do not want to be a burden to friends and family during this time.

A piece of advice to my fellow oldsters. Start getting rid of stuff that those who survive you don't give a rip about. They don't want to clean up after you.

Sure, I bet you never looked at your fathers Mayfair magazines either!
