I vaguely remember this show as a kid. Never would think the awesome Jerry Fielding scored it.

I was made aware of this series and its scores just last year. Some of the recordings are apparently available in the UCLA archives. Hopefully a label can make an album happen, with other stuff included of course given the nature of such shows not allowing much of interest (some of the "He & She" and "The Good Guys" recordings are also apparently available at UCLA).

Such a compilation album of older, obscure CBS sitcom music is sure to sell 5 copies. Wait, someone into the music of Jerry Fielding just died; make that 4 copies.

Fun, probably one-season series. It starred the beautiful Julie Sommars. I liked it as a youth, but dont' recall the score.

Actually Jerry Fuelding releases seem to sell out most of the time *if* they're 1500 copies or less. Fielding's actually got *more* of a following now than he did 15 years ago. Limit it to 1000 copies and stick Fielding's name on it and it'll sell I suspect.

I fondly remember The Governor and JJ (along with He and She, and the more recent The Powers That Be). I am ashamed to say that I was not aware it was one of Jerry Fielding's though. But if it was released I'd buy it!

At least there's hope for more Fielding on disc in 2015 with the hints of Quartet Records!
It was a long way since the last Fielding release in may 2013.

"The Governor & J.J.", "He & She" and "The Good Guys" are three other series in dire need of a D.V.D. and Blu ray release.

Filmusicnow,

I think that one-season TV series, such as THE GOVERNOR AND J.J. (and others like GRINDL, KAREN, ENSIGN O'TOOLE, to name three off the top of my head), don't tend to be released on DVD.

"The Governor And J.J." ran for two seasons.

I'd settle for what IMO is the most famous unreleased Fielding TV score!

Depends entirely on which studio owns them. If there are some old ones controlled by Warner they actually now stand a good chance of making it to DVD.

The longer and fully developed version of that marvelous theme:
