Here's an interesting listen to a score Alex North composed in 1947 for the Children's Record LITTLE INDIAN DRUM.

I found a copy of the Original at a Goodwill Store for $1.00 years ago and just today found another version for 50 cents at my local Streetlight Records.

Here's the Audio on youtube:

How fun! I heard North's signature sound right away.

What condition was the disc in?

Thanks, Zooba.

Both Records I got are in very good condition.

After finding this it made me think and wonder if anyone would ever find the Jerry Goldsmith Children's Record, that he said he had done very early in his career. He never mentioned the title of it, but I remember him mentioning that he had done one, in an interview.

It was for a company for which he was musical director called (get this!) Fox Records!

Oh, this would be a good one.

I wonder if it ever appeared in that extensive musicography that was published in a film music magazine (print), a long while ago.

Thanks, I'm going to listen to this one as soon as possible. You've had better luck with it than I had -- Many years ago I came across that paper sleeve, but no record inside.

There's another North childrens' recording I once saw on 78s called The City Sings for Michael.
