Lovely cue. Sounds like some sea-faring adventure, probably period, feels English. Is this the original music track, or a re-recording? Sounds like the former.

The tunes are all Irish, there's a famous song melody in there. It's 'Hollywood' not English. That's all I'm getting. Look for a '50s movie, probably comedy set in Ireland. It COULD be an English composer, but the harmonic style just feels Young/Hollywood to me. Probably something with Maureen O'Hara and Mr. Wayne or the like.

The tune at 44 secs is definitely a famous Irish folk-song, where are Niall and Thomas etc. when you need them? The other jaunty tune that opens it is so similar to Quentin Durward's theme that I'd say we're talking Victor Young or Bronislau Kaper. Actually, more like Young.

I still dunno, but the tune that appears at 44 secs and is clearly the love theme, is 'The Dawning of the Day': It looks like this YouTube poster has had a few too many before he posted this. John McCormack didn't usually stand on his head: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtAXRTGX3ss

This is an interesting one Music Credit wise. In the Main Titles there is a card for: Musical Supervision Joseph Gershenson. No "Music by" Credit. At IMDB several composers are mentioned mostly under "Uncredited" and "Additional Music". However, the Main Title music is credited to Frank Skinner! There seems to be a lot of adaptations of Irish folk-tunes. Apart from 'Dawning', the other tune that bookends it is Irish too. So it's more a case of arrangement. Not like Joseph to take all the cred ...... I'd not be too surprised if some of the more dramatic music was recycled and re-recorded from the other contributors' previous flicks. The bit immediately after the Prelude is filmed at Powerscourt by the look of it.
