Not sure what it's fetching on the open market these days but you can grab the dialogue-free Academy promo of ANGELA'S ASHES for $45. Good price for the best presentation of a stunning score.

Thanks for the heads up, I already had Brian May's Turkey Shoot in my cart and now added Thirst, will make a fine pairing amongst other goodies. Great sale thanks.

Actually, this is a Screen Archives Entertainment (SAE) sale, not a Film Score Monthly (FSM) sale.

Some great deals here! I recommend Newman's magnificent WILSON, for starters!

Probably one of the 10 people that bought it. smile

Even Lukas acknowledged that "This CD has not sold well, probably because the film is not well known." Actually, at the time of his 2011 remark, the CD had sold 850 of its 2000 copies.

Man, that was one of my holy grails, I was STUNNED when that CD was announced.

I probably play it 2-3 times a month and it always makes me happy.

the Decca release is also without narration and it's much cheaper:

plus, it has 2 more tracks (2 songs used as source cues)

Good time to get 'Grand Prix" by Jarre (FSM) in the used section at half price. I think these copies are still sealed but still in the used section. I think there are only 9 copies left.

Several sale items indicate they have flaws (holes in barcode, etc) but most say nothing about their condition. Were the sale items any of you purchased "flawed" in any visual way?
Thanks!

I purchased a second hand copy where in the description SAE mentioned a fold/crease in the booklet. When it arrived it appeared to be very minor to negligible, they are very honest.

You can find basically the same content on the European pressing of the score (also sans dialog). Many of these disks can be available quite cheaply new and used from sites like www.amazon.co.uk.

Chris.

Now if I only had time to tortuously browse through 81 web pages of 2025 titles!
If only they had a decent filter and or search function, or an exportable list.

Well, they do have the option to display 100 titles per page with the picture (there it is not over 80 pages, but a little more than 20) - or you can even put "View All".

Good God, why haven't I picked this up yet? This puts such a huge smile on my face. I loved the damned movie, and this cue alone is worth $20....
