Great stuff! I already own Guys & Dolls, will definitely buy Robin & The 7 Hoods, & maybe one or two of the others (or the whole box, I'll see how it's priced). I know there's some disappointment that High Society isn't included, but as it's Frank Sinatra's centenary year I'd expect another box from Warner later in the year. Warner still has a handful of his films that are unreleased on Blu-ray, like his go at direction, None But The Brave.

Add Take Me Out to the Ballgame as another of his MGM musicals that as far as I know hasn't been released, also costarring Gene Kelly.

Not to mention "Marriage On The Rocks" (in my book, one of the most underrated films Sinatra ever did) and "The Naked Runner".

There are other Sinatra films that can be used to fill out box sets. 4 FOR TEXAS is another Warners film. Warners controls MGM's IT HAPPENED IN BROOKLYN, THE KISSING BANDIT, NEVER SO FEW, SOME CAME RUNNING; and THE TENDER TRAP. Also Filmways' THE FIRST DEADLY SIN, RKO's HIGHER AND HIGHER, THE MIRACLE OF THE BELLS, and STEP LIVELY. And if they want to scrape the bottom of the barrel, Warners also controls MGM's DIRTY DINGUS MAGEE and RKO's DOUBLE DYNAMITE.

THE MIRACLE OF THE BELLS was an independent production released by RKO in the 1940s. As a financial failure, it was eventually taken over by the lending bank and added to the so-called Bank of America package which eventually was absorbed into NTA Pictures for distribution to television in the early 1950s.

As such it is now in the Viacom/Paramount library and was sub-licensed to Olive Films which recently released a Blu-ray of the title. Thus, it is not a property not now or ever available to Warners.

But it doesn't really matter. Warners has access to far more Sinatra films than they'll ever consider for Blu-ray mastering.

Something similar must have happened with the Doris Day/Frank Sinatra YOUNG AT HEART, which was originally released by Warners, but has also been taken over by Paramount and had an Olive Films Blu-ray released last year.
