Back in November of 2013 I had to have my Yorkshire of 18 years put down. His name was Henry, hence my username. I love him so much, and miss him greatly. Then in August of 2014 I adopted a sweet little Chihuahua named Celeste which I got through Last Hope. She is about a year old, and gets along great with my two cats. I'm crazy about her. No dog can replace Henry, but I love Celeste greatly!
Pets are not just best friends they are family. Each one is special and you can never replace an old friend, but it's nice to make new ones. They need you as much as you need them.
Congratulations! Dogs really are wonderful. My wife and I recently rescued a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and we couldn't be happier. Enjoy the new addition to your family!
We adopted Tucker (a Basset/Beagle mix, aka a Bagle) from San Diego Basset Rescue around the same time you adopted Celeste. He's bursting with energy and has a very friendly and affectionate personality. So glad to have him in our family even though he loves to "play with" (chew up) our daughter's toys whenever he gets the chance.
