Will this wonderful score ever see the light of day ? The rumor has it that it is in the hands of Universal France. Is there anyone out there who works for Universal France who could verify this,or anyone who has more information on Jarre's score for RESURRECTION ?

As do I, and all things MJ.....

From Lukas:
That French Jarre collection was largely produced from tapes in the possession of Mrs. Jarre. They were transferring a bunch of them across the hall from my office at Precision AudioSonics. It seemed like Maurice had a lot of tapes, mostly mono, from his career. All of my efforts to work with Mrs. Jarre following that...have failed!

There must be something 'personal' about this particular score, since after that collection was released we've had cd's of Mandingo, Mackintosh Man and others. I hope Jesus of Nazareth gets a proper release someday - the RCA & Legend cd's are a joke, the same old tape (you can hear it glitch and bump on the last track!!!), and the piece on the Univ. France box set sounds GORGEOUS - there is celli counterpoint I've never heard on the piece.

So, patience, only time will tell.....
- Sean

Roger Feigelson of Intrada stated back in March 2013:

"We tried. The license wasn't available."

ABSOLUTE FRUSTRATION is the best way to describe it. Of all the scores that have never been put on either an LP or a CD from the '80's till now, this is the one I want the most. It's Cody's "OBSESSION".No pun intended.

A fabulous score. Maybe James Fitzpatrick can do something about this?

A fabulous score. Maybe James Fitzpatrick can do something about this?

In another thread he responded that he would like to do it, but he is reluctant to do it because the original music elements do exist and it may be only a matter of time before it is released. I wish I were that optimistic. In today's market I don't think a kickstarter campaign would reach its goal. Hopefully, in time, his love for the score, if there is no release elsewhere, will allow him to change his mind and record it. Intrada wanted to do it, but the rights belong to Maurice Jarre's widow.
