THURSDAY, JANUARY 29
TERMINATOR GENISYS---new poster released for the reboot movie.
BORN TO RUN---Matthew McConaughey will star in the movie based on the bestselling book by Christopher McDougall. The script is by Matthew Michael Carnahan (WORLD WAR Z).
AFRICA---Brad Pitt is in talks to star in this Angelina Jolie movie about archaeologist Richard Leakey's efforts to save African elephants by battling ivory poachers. The script is by Eric Roth (FORREST GUMP).
NINE LIVES---Kevin Spacey will star in this comedy movie about a workaholic executive whose mind accidentally winds up in the body of the family cat. Barry Sonnenfeld (MEN IN BLACK) is the director.
ZOOLANDER 2---the sequel is underway at Paramount Pictures with Penelope Cruz in a starring role. Ben Stiller and Christine Taylor are returning. Taylor commented, “I can tell you that I’m involved, but that’s all I can say. I can tell you it’s happening, but I can’t tell you where Matilda’s at and where their relationship is at. It’s all top secret!” Will Ferrell and Owen Wilson are also expected to return.
THIS MAN, THIS WOMAN---Penelope Cruz and Diane Kruger are in negotiations to star in this movie about an estranged couple who encounter each other on an airplane and relive their tumultuous romantic past. The lead male role has not been cast yet. The script is by Frederic Raphael (TWO FOR THE ROAD).
THOSE ANGRY DAYS---FX miniseries from Graham Yost (JUSTIFIED, BAND OF BROTHERS) underway about isolationists who try to prevent the US from getting involved in the war against Nazi Germany in the early days of the conflict. Noah Wylie may play journalist Edward R. Murrow.
FARGO---Michael Hogan (BATTLESTAR GALACTICA) joins the cast as a German immigrant who transforms his father's trucking business into a crime empire.
BLUNT TALK---Starz/Seth McFarlane sitcom starring Patrick Stewart as a successful British newsman who seeks even greater success on US cable news.
WET HOT AMERICAN SUMMER--the Netflix reboot series cast includes Bradley Cooper, Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig, Chris Pine, Elizabeth Banks, Christopher Meloni, Amy Poehler, Paul Rudd and David Hyde Pierce.
COP CAR---Kevin Bacon stars in this movie about two young boys in a cop car who are pursued by the crooked sheriff who wants his car back.
STEPHANIE---horror movie underway starring Frank Grillo (CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER) and Anna Torv (FRINGE) in which a young girl is abandoned by her parents. When they return for her, they encounter a supernatural force. Akiva Goldsman is the director.
SUPERGIRL---Mehcad Brooks (NECESSARY ROUGHNESS) will play Jimmy Olsen in the CBS pilot.
SALEM---WGN America announced Season 2 will premiere on April 5.
CATASTROPHE---Amazon Studios has picked up the British sitcom in which a US man and an Irish woman try to start a meaningful relationship after he gets her pregnant. Carrie Fisher is a co-star.
THE SECRET---movie underway based on the self-help novel. Reja Gosnell is the director.
