Nick Cave and Warren Ellis wrote one of my favorite scores of the last several years, THE ASSASSINATION OF JESSE JAMES BY THE WOW YOU GUYS REALLY WANT THIS WHOLE THING TO BE THE TITLE?, so I was very happy to learn that they've scored a new documentary, PROPHET'S PREY, just screened at Sundance. PREY is from Amy Berg and concerns Warren Jeffs and his church, a fundamentalist offshoot of Mormonism.
The doc has drawn strong reviews so far. Not much on the score, except that several reviews have gone out of their way to praise its "haunting" quality and its strength as an asset to the film. Can't wait to hear it.
