that is based on a Theme in one of his scores?

For me I like to the two Love Theme Songs in GOLD.

"Where have you been all my Life?"

and

"Wherever love takes me."

Always liked his FROM NOON TIL THREE song.

"How I needed you" from TRIAL OF BILLY JACK is also quite nice.

What is your favorite or favorites?

The songs from Gold sprang to mind for me too, Zoob. However, the one I like most is the title song with its dramatic Bond-ish overtones.

I would have to say Wherever Love Takes Me from Gold too. Simply a superb song.
Nice to see this is still remembered. Even though it's just the old LP contents I was incredibly pleased when Intrada released their Gold CD.

Certainly agree with the title song of GOLD, but I'd like to add the theme from THE HALLELUJAH TRAIL and "I've Been to St. Louis" from THE SCALPHUNTERS.

Always loved the melody in The Hallelujah Trail.

I think my favorite would be Love With A Proper Stranger. It is so very gorgeous.

My favorite song in a Bernstein soundtrack is "Saddle the Wind", but it was written by Livingston and Evans.

THE HALLELUJAH TRAIL Best choral.

What can I say, I love his stuff so much I spent some big bucks having it sung at my birthday party along with LOVE WITH THE PROPER STRANGER, FROM NOON UNTIL THREE, THE SILENCERS, etc.:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inxeqLMP5yQ

I'll have to say the title song from Gold for its bold catchiness and pertinence to the film's narrative.

I always thought of how funny it would have been to have a song set to Elmer's main theme for McQ.

Probably "Love With the Proper Stranger," also one of Bernstein's very best scores (and a neat film, too).

My favorite Bernstein song might be split between "Shakespeare Lied" from "How Now, Dow Jones" (A lively, catchy melody with a witty Carolyn Leigh lyric - and, actually, "They Don't Make 'Em Like That Anymore" is a pretty great song from the same score, too) and "Hello and Goodbye" from "From Noon Till Three" (Which I find an incredibly delightful song - it's warm and slyly funny).

I seem to post this every time this topic comes up, but since no one seems to have mentioned BY LOVE POSSESSED yet, here goes...

Hey if I can include his Broadway songs:

The wistful and oh-so-Bernstein-esque:

A Walk In the Spring Rain.

I'll give another vote for the Gold main and end titles, although I also really like The Silencers....
