I saw this posted at another forum; the source wasn't given, but I assume it was their Facebook page:
A couple of new releases will be announced next Monday. Two expanded editions from the 1990's. Different composers, same Studio.

If Warner Bros is an option GRUMPY OLD MEN and FREE WILLY would be great! And both (especially the Silvestri's score) could be combined with sequel scores - although FW scores would probably all fill CDs up to an hour of material.

If we are talking about MGM maybe it could be Conti's THOMAS CROWN AFFAIR and SON OF THE PINK PANTHER - or what would be a dream come true Horner's MY HEROES HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THE COWBOYS. Delta Force II would be a cool candidate too.

If it's from Paramount vaults LASSIE and especially ALIVE are prime candidates for an expansion. Maybe even VIRTUOSITY and MISSION IMPOSSIBLE - if this one could be combined with Silvestri's unused score.

With Fox there is way too many candidates - starting with TOYS, COURAGE UNDER FIRE, NIGHTBREED and EDWARD SCISSORHANDS all of which could probably use expansion...

and with Universal - THE MUMMY is a prime candidate, SNEAKERS has a lot of unreleased material too basically 1/3 of the score is unreleased. Not sure if THE JACKAL qualifies (if there was at least a bit of the score on the song album), but that one would be really cool. But there is just way too many here - starting from APOLLO 13 and WATERWORLD to THE COWBOY WAY, THE FLINSTONES, CARLITO'S WAY, BACKDRAFT, FAR AND AWAY or DARKMAN. THE NUTTY PROFESSOR, KING RALPH and BIRD ON A WIRE need to get finally released too - but those would be more like premieres.

**************

Well... there is just way too many possibilities... but either way... it sounds promissing! smile

Just thought I'd bump this because a) the day is here and b) according to the label, both composers are still with us.
