I'm not sure if I've asked this before, but it's always a fun conversation.

What's your all time favorite score cue/track or whatever you want to call it. You can only pick one. It can be from any movie or TV show/miniseries/cartoon, whatever. Whether it be an album version or the actual film version.

I'm going to have to go with "Desert Chase" by John Williams for Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark.

I find the entire cue fits the scene perfectly. And really, who doesn't love the way Williams weaves the Raiders March into it? Even just listening to it without the movie you can picture each part in your head as the music plays. It's great writing music too. I loved the track when I first heard it as a kid I still listen to it quite often.

Damn that's hard. I'm inclined to try and pick out a favorite from Blade Runner, but I think I'll have to go with the "Independence Day End Titles Suite."

Bernard Herrmann's 'sighs' a/k/a "The Drugstore" as Martin walks away from the gas station towards Homewood in Twilight Zone's Walking Distance. The greatest of several film music life-long memories from that series.

I'll go with The Hand of Fate - Part II from JNH's Signs. I love every second of it.

Good choice.

That's an easy one. The Clock Tower que from Back to the Future. Specifically the second half of the scene or "The Clock Tower Part II".

Honorable mentions:

Theology/Civilization - Conan The Barbarian
Hard To Starboard - Titanic
The Map Room: Dawn - Raiders of the Lost Ark
Strength and Honor - Gladiator

Not much has changed over the years.

Leaving Home from Superman. The Krypton theme followed by big Americana. Love it!

The Lighting of the Beacons from THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING. Never fails to give me goose bumps.

Agreed, but my pick from Middle Earth is "For Frodo". The grand choral version of the Fellowship theme being thrown into battle is exhilarating. That said, despite nearly picking "Prelude/Rooftop" from "Vertigo" is could not go past:

The Asteroid Field from The Empire Strikes Back.

What a great version of the Imperial March and the Han/Leia love theme combined with Williams' bets action music.

"Prologue and Tumor" from The Dark Half. It's Chris Young in the mode I love most, very ominous and hypnotic and I could listen forever to the opening piano melody.

I can't pick just one, as it always depends on mood and style. So instead of cheating and mentioning multiple titles -- like I see someone has already done -- I'll abstain altogether. smile

I'll just go with either "Imperial Attack" or "Ben Kenobi's Death and TIE Fighter Attack" from 'STAR WARS', a score full of great cues....
