In the meantime, YouTube people have fixed this in their own ways, and you'd never know if you weren't told.

Forgive me for saying so, but ... It irks me when people make an "announcement" in the thread subject, only to find out when you click on the thread that there is actually no such announcement at all.

I'm with Stephen on this one. The thread title should describe better what the thread is about.

Well, looks like my questions have been answered, to a degree at least. Silva Screen is getting ready to release The Best Of Hans Zimmer Volume 2, which includes music from Interstellar performed by London Music Works, Cornfield Chase, S.T.A.Y, and No Time For Caution. No Quantifiable Connection, at least on this ( digital only ? ) release. http://www.amazon.com/Best-Hans-Zimmer-Vol-2/dp/B00UJ01A7S/ref=sr_1_1?s=dmusic&ie=UTF8&qid=1426890396&sr=1-1&keywords=silva+screen Ridiculous release. All tracks, minus the three from Interstellar, are already available on the Zimmer 6CD set from Silva. But there's a market for listeners who didn't buy that set, and will bite for the 2 discs. Silva knows their audience.

But the Prague Phil and London Music Works are all what has endured. I think the performance of them could be much better, with the City of Prague Phil who hear they are not as skilled like the other musicians in the other orchestra and they are a telefophone orchestra. And London Music Works are actually doing high end mock-ups. But beggars can't be chosers. This is not a snarky question, but, have you actually heard the work of the COPP in the last few years? They are doing some brilliant work, some really sharp and remarkable recordings. Saying they " are not as skilled like the other musicians in the other orchestra" really tellus us you must not have heard their works recently . Listen to their Conan score recordings, Quo Vadis, the Goldsmith re-recordings, any of the wonderful work they've done with James Fitzpatrick and then let's see how you feel. I'd put their stuff up against any of the old Telarc discs. Also, what the heck is a "telefophone" orchestra? As far as London Music Works, check out their excellent version of Zimmer's 160 BPM. There are any number of covers they've done that can be highly recommended. Some selections may be less successful than others, but overall they do some very pleasing soundtrack recordings.

I did not mean to depreciate them. A telephone-orchestra is what the Hollywood-Studio orchestra actually also is, not an orchestra run by an organization funded by a broadcaster or the town or some institute doing an entire session after session and having like a 1oo plus musicians working full-time for them. A telephone-orchestra is assembled for the ocassion. Via telephone in the past. Sometimes those are maybe even better because when they take really money and there is a community of musicians doing it so regular like in Hollywood (which is I think is unique). But often those are just not used to play in exactly that ensemble, so there is no kind of culture like the LSO or NYP or the Wiener Philharmoniker have developed over many decades.
