Given that Vinyl is coming back selectively, I was thinking to myself, "How cool would it be to see the Expanded FSM and Intrada Star Trek releases get issued on LP." Heck, I'd even welcome reissues of the first three Trek scores, as we're seeing Jaws and E.T. with reprinted album covers. Anyone else think there's a market for it?

I’ve made playlists for the original LP / CD tracks of the six original Star Trek films. It kind of blew my mind a bit when I realized that the last Star Trek movie LP that I bought was in 1986. I guess that means the last Star Trek LP of any kind I bought would have been Encounter at Farpoint. Wow.

I almost went Jason LeBlanc on your erroneous vinyl pluralization, Schiffy, but then realized that you were talking about it as a pose. Phew. I grew up listening to records, and only got out of the habit because the stores stopped selling them. Now that they're back, of course they are ridiculously overpriced, but the $1 bins are still filled with great, well-kept used stuff (I just got Patton out of there and it looked and played like new). The covers are also great for framing, especially if the vinyl is nicked and scratched to hell.
