Enough remakes already. Remake is the Hollywood's version of the service pack update, and like many updates, they mess with the functioning of what was originally there, resulting in terminally irritating malfunctions.
I'm sure Dan O'Bannon would have some choice words on the subject were he still with us. If only he was (along with Roy Scheider, Warren Oates and Mario Machado, obviously).
Another utterly pointless remake. I watched Blue Thunder a couple of months ago and it's still a cracking movie. To be honest the only thing that looked dates to me were the Thunder's monitor displays.

I can only think of one reason to do a remake and that would be if they wanted to do the original script where Murphy freaks out and uses the chopper like a sniper in the sky killing people. Just don't call him Murphy, and pick another name. Heck, you could make it a sequel then.
