I just bought the Criterion edition of Robinson Crusoe On Mars minutes before seeing this. He lived a good long time. RIP.

According tom the bonus materials his script was significantly changed. It had giant monsters and such!

COincedentally, I just started reading THE MARTIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Angry Red Planet... what a hoot! Ratbatspidercrabs, giant turret eyed amoeba monsters, cartoon cities across a cherry-syrup Martian sea, and assorted pulp strangeness... A hoot! Especially when the actors stop talking.
