Another pair from the 70s! One is an LP reissue that we thought we be difficult to do, but then we found the 8-track album master and were able present in much better sound. Plus because we had the multitrack we are able to present two tracks that had sound effects without the effects as bonus tracks. But wait, there's more...then we present the unreleased tracks from the mono stems as a final bonus.
The next is a two CD which is also a reissue, kind of. One of this composer's most spectacular works, this sequel gets a full remix from the 24-track and expansion. Plus we add on his 1999 score to a court room drama as a bonus.

As for 1999 courtroom films, I'm not familiar with many and the ones that exist were largely scored by people who weren't active in the 1970s (Elfman's A Civil Action, Lisa Gerard's "The Insider")
But I searched around, and this one seems likely, and I know Intrada likes Rosenthal

I hope for earthquake cause the price of the varese cd is just ridiculous now.
Hmmmm... But usually prices become LOWER - same was with several re-issues. But who knows, who knows...
Of course, I'm waiting for some Barry's LP - Dove or Follow Me. But as I know, there is no sound effects on them. Ok, let's wait while LLL will release their Barry title (I hope they will not pull it 'till the end of year)
The Return of a Man Called Horse, as mentioned on the Intrada forum. Both that and Inherit the Wind are MGM.
That makes a lot more sense. I love Rosenthal's Horse score, and the sound was a little iffy on the Varese Club release so an expansion/remastering would be great.
It may not be the original, but the performance and sound quality makes for a magnificent listening experience, and is much more full-bodied than the original.

I already have the Tadlow version conducted by Nic Raine - and I love it. The rerecording is far superior from the old Varese version.
But, you know, I really want the complete recording conducted by Basil.
I'm sorry henry; I dig your enthusiasm for Conti but you could at least bother to read the clues: Roger states that the album program was 8 tracks. I checked soundtrackcollector.com and that doesn't seem to be the case for Harry & Tonto...not even close.
By total coincidence however I just checked out that film from the library (more curious about Art Carney's Oscar-winning performance but looking forward to the Conti score too)...I'll let you know what I think.

I believe he said the 8 track album master, not that the album program contained 8 tracks. To me, he's saying that the album master was recorded onto 8 discrete tracks, that they were able to use to remix the score. Maybe I'm misinterpreting, but that was my initial thought, anyway.
