Three episodes in and I'm enjoying it so far. Not great TV but good light entertainment. It's got some kinks it needs to work out on the police side of things, but it seems more sure of itself than many other brand new TV shows seem to and the premise is different than most. Each episode is mostly self-contained: the protagonist assumes some of the personality and memories of the person whose brains she consumes, so she puts herself in a position to help solve their murders, but they're also building a bigger story as well, without getting too buried in the "mythology" as is the fad these days. All in all an enjoyable and offbeat show, not too far from some of Fuller's stuff like Wonderfalls. I haven't seen anyone talking about it anywhere so I assume it won't make it past the first season, but I hope it does.

So it's like another take on Dead Zone, Medium, ... ? I recognize the Neil actor from Newsroom, might give it a go. By the way, a lot of tv shows paying homage to George Romero lately.
I watched the first episode, but didn't like it at all, I'm afraid. So I'm off it. Then again, I've always had a problem with genre mixing, especially comedy in more horror-oriented material.
