I recently had a hankering for these two vintage documentaries, and it appears they are not currently available. I'd like to see them on Blu-ray for sure. Do you think they're ever coming?

"The Rutles: All You Need Is Cash" is available on Blu-Ray under the title "The Rutles Anthology". "The Rutles: Can't Buy Me Lunch" comes with it, but only on a DVD.

"The Compleat Beatles" is, to my knowledge, unavailable on DVD or Blu-Ray. (Something to do with Apple and the Beatles camp not really approving of it.)

Be aware that THE RUTLES Blu-ray has been cropped top and bottom for widescreen. If that bothers you, look for the Rhino DVD.

Thanks, guys. Apparently (per Wiki) Paul McCartney bought all the rights to THE COMPLEAT BEATLES just to take it off the market. That sucks.

'Compleat'? What's with the spelling?

'Compleat'? What's with the spelling?

It matches the pun in "Beatles."

Really? I didn't know that. I thought it was just the original British way of spelling "complete". You know, like they spell "flavor" as "flavour", "color" as "colour", etc.? Just little differences like that which didn't make it to America's English.

I like the "Beatles" pun explanation even better, though.

And I'm learning something new every day.

Ah, of course. Thanks.
