It's a short CD...38 minutes. It's quite a modest orchestra too (about 35 players), with Rabin's customary keyboards and guitar added to the mix. It's a bit hit and miss, ranging from fairly ordinary, perfunctory modern-style scoring to some inspired tracks with a more traditional approach. From two plays so far, what it's really crying out for is a memorable main theme! Nothing has really stuck so far...although as I type, Bike Ride has a nicy cheesy 80's orch/synth combo going on. I've liked Rabin in the past - THE GREAT RAID, FLYBOYS, GLORY ROAD, REMEMBER THE TITANS = all great - this one sounds less inspired thus far, but who knows, it might be a grower? Oh..and from the cover, it looks like Chappie-Dog.
