I'd much prefer they be sold separately myself (Though Hybrid SACD would be best of both worlds)
Though at least in this case there seems to be video content as well....

Is the future downloads? Given that they keep increasing in price whilst CDs don't I have to wonder...

No, the present is downloads. But that doesn't mean CDs are extinct. (Or LPs. Or even cassettes!)

Man, this is great. I hope including a Blu-ray Audio is something James keeps doing on these; I think it's easily worth an extra five bucks when it's a magnificent recording.

I'm salivating at the thought of it being done for Sodom and Gomorrah and the mysterious Goldsmith he's recording this next week or two...

Isn't S&G being recorded right now? What's this about a mysterious Goldsmith?

Another new cassette for sale:

Much like the recent Disney cassette this is a gimmick but it is still a playable cassette.

Hasn't THE BLUE MAX been released by Intrada and Lalaland more recently? Why would James want to revisit this title again? I thought he was more interested in scores that have never been released before.

Pretty sure the price is the same as normal for this.

And I for one would NOT appreciate paying an extra $5...

Cody, If you go through the previous BLUE MAX threads you will discover around the time of the LLL re-mastered 2cd set edition- James announced that he had plans to re-record the entire score. So those got shelved at that point. The ground work for the score had all been completed. Since LLL set is almost about to sell out; it would be nice to have this in a new fresh re-recording. I'am all for it; as its great epic sounding score that deserves the royal treatment and Im sure there are many fans supporting this recording for it as well. Its all upto James. Who knows if it is indeed THE BLUE MAX or something else..?

I agree that keeping the price the same is better for us; I was just unsure that that would be practical for James. smile

An extra five spot would not be a problem for me. I've never had a "Blu-ray audio" disc before, so the Tadlow OBSESSION will hopefully be a good introduction to the format.

Ordered the Music Box 2 CD set of Obsession a few weeks back and then read about this Tadlow new recording and how it also includes a BLU with HD 5.1 and 2.0 audio options. Got it today and it sounds amazing. Getting film scores released on SACD or even BLU Ray audio with multic channel options is hard enough. At 25.00 U.S dollars currently it is a steal IMO. The vocals and Nic Raines work on this recording are wonderful.

Really thrilled I ordered this set, no regrets at all.

You can't go wrong with Tadlow! I'm very happy with ALL of them!

I'm greatly looking forward to: IS PARIS BURNING?, THIEF OF BAGDAD and DUEL IN THE SUN! smile
