I just did something I have had plans for years doing, that is burning a CDR with the best film and TV themes by Sylvester Levay, taken from CDs, CDRs and youtube. Until a record label finds out that this could be a wise thing to do (which is probably never), this would have to suffice. What a great compilation!

Here is the track list:

1. AIRWOLF (MAIN THEME EXTENDED AERIAL) 3:47 (1984/1999)
2. TIME BOMB (OPENING) 3:12 (1984)
3. INVITATION TO HELL (MAIN THEME) 1:41 (1984)
4. WET GOLD (CLOSING) 1:23 (1984)
5. OTHERWORLD (INTRO) 1:35 (1985)
6. CREATOR (MAIN THEME) 2:57 (1985)
7. ANNIHILATOR (END THEME) 3:11 (SYLVESTER LEVAY & UDI HARPAZ) (1986)
8. CHOKE CANYON (END CREDITS) 2:13 (1986)
9. COBRA (SKYLINE- not featured in the film) 3:28 (1986)
10. MANNEQUIN (JONATHAN) 1:05 (1987)
11. THREE O'CLOCK HIGH (JERRY'S DECISIONS) 4:28 (1987)
12. THE TRACKER (END CREDITS) 2:18 (1988)
13. SOMETHING IS OUT THERE (OPENING) 1:28 (1988)
14. MANHUNT (END CREDITS) 0.53 (1989)
15. NAVY SEALS (HIGH JUMPERS) 5:25 (1990)
16. SNOW KILL (END CREDITS) 1:35 (1990)
17. DARK AVENGER (RESCUE) 0:56 (1990)
18. CRY IN THE WILD (END CREDITS) 0:50 (1991)
19. HOT SHOTS! (MAIN THEME) 2:19 (1991)
20. STONE COLD (END CREDITS) 1:29 (1991)
21. THE OWL (FLASHBACK) 3:13 (1991)
22. FALSE ARREST (END CREDITS) 0:50 (1991)
23. IN THE DEEP WOODS (END CREDITS) 0:51 (1992)
24. STALKING LAURA (OPENING THEME) 2:38 (1993)
25. DONATO & DAUGHTER (END CREDITS) 1:30 (1993)
26. FLASHFIRE (END CREDITS) 2:33 (1994)
27. MEDICOPTER 117 - JEDES LEBEN ZAHLT (MEDLEY) 2:59 (SYLVESTER LEVAY & LOTHAR SCHERPE) (1998 - 2007)

TOTAL TIME: 60:52

If any label would do an official release of your CD then I would suggest they also add his Courage Mountain music. If they do that then I would certainly buy it for sure.

I once heard an "unmentionable" of Stone Cold (think it was lifted from the DVD and would love to see that along with Cobra get official releases smile

I watched Courage Mountain years ago. I think that score may be the most orchestral score Levay ever wrote. I would have added a track from that one too, but no music is available from it from my sources.

Well, Cobra has an official release. But yes, there are several unreleased cues in the film.

Stone Cold is surely the most "heavy" score he wrote, with lots of screaming guitars.

I had to giggle a bit at the CD-R bit (sorry! wink), but the compilation looks fantastic. Would have loved to get my hands on that, had it been a real thing.

You mean it's an ancient format?

No mp3 files on the computer for me, you know that.

Yes I have Cobra on vinyl but there is only 2-3 Levay bits on it

Cobra is also out on a more scarce CD version.

What says a composer is on a certain label? It could be that LLLR will release one of his scores or Varese or other of those fine labels out there...
I do hope for a complete Cobra as it is a guilty pleasure of a movie and I love the music (even the songs)

Do you agree that Skyline was not included in the film, only the album?

Two Into One is a nice song, co-written by Levay of course. Hold On To Your Vision is fine too. Haven't played through the whole album in a long time.

Skyline isn´t in the movie.
Angel of the City, Voice of America´s sons and Feel the heat are the best songs, but damn that Main title and Chase are awesome...Love those stalker motifs at the hospital and the attack on Cobretti at his apartment too and the ending when Sly is gunning down those a-holes standing back on that pickup smile

I guess, along with Jonathan Elias and Jay Ferguson perhaps.
