Been binge-watching season six of Justified. Down to the final two. One of the shows on TV I really enjoy. I'm gonna miss it, but I'm glad they're going out now.

Loved the show from start to finish....

It has without question one of the best series finales I've ever seen.

The final line spoken is Pure Elmore Leonard.

Bravo to everyone involved in it's production.

This has been one of my all time favorite shows, and it is very sad to see it go. We went back and watched the first five seasons on Blu Ray to get ready for the final season, and loved it all over again. How Olyphant and Goggins haven't gotten Emmys for their roles is criminal, and the show should have won best drama for the first two seasons but has never been nominated for best drama.

I'll be 100% honest and say I felt this season has been kinda rocky, it felt ( for me ) like some of the spark of previous seasons was missing, but still it has been a don't miss for me.

And the finale was great, in fact it got better as it went. So many lines of dialogue called back to the pilot and other earlier episodes, and the wrap up was just as it should have been. To end things any other way wouldn't have been true to the characters or to Elmore Leonard.

Raylan, Boyd, Art, Rachel and Tim will be missed. And goofball Dewey big grin

Thanks for the link, that was an excellent article. It is a shame that Justified was overlooked to a degree, as splashier shows caught people's attention, and the majority of those crowd pleasers were nowhere near as finely crafted as Justified.

I haven't watched the second half of the show yet, have been waiting for the chance to binge watch them all in a go.

For those who love connections between shows, by the way, Carla Gugino in Justified was reprising her role from underrated Karen Sisco, which ran only one season in '03-'04, which followed from the movie Out of Sight, where the character was played by Jennifer Lopez. In Out of Sight, Michael Keaton played the same character he also played in Jackie Brown the previous year. So, all kind of one big Elmore Leonard-verse.

The show Karen Sisco was awesome. I'm kind of in love with Gugino. Along with Threshold, Karen Sisco was one of the most severely unfortunate quick cancellations I've experienced.

Strange though that Gugino's character on Justified was named Karen Goodall. What's that about? Did they explain that on that episode? Had she gotten married? If so I wouldn't peg Karen Sisco as one to take another's name!

It sucked that Gugino was on Justified for what, one episode? Same for William Forsythe, Dave Foley, Michael Ironside, Eric Roberts, Alan Tudyk...all in one episode but would have been terrific further players in the Justified universe. Not that I'm questioning the producers of the show, they sure as hell knew what they were doing...

A great final episode. It ended just the way it should have.

Thanks for the link , Greg!
This is the best WESTERN in ages (even better than NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN)
The writer was right on even down to dissing season 5.

I could care less if it won Emmys, THE WIRE never did either.
