1966 TV series starring Robert Loggia T.H.E. CAT

a terrific theme by Lalo Schifrin.

So, it's not a film but it fits in with Lalo's other detective's Dirty Harry and Bullitt.

If you were a kid in kindergarten in the late 1960's and you lived in the New York area you probably watched reruns of this cat mornings right before you boarded the school bus. Always loved the theme.

I was gonna say Cat People, but I can't claim it's a favorite score. Though I love the long instrumental version of the theme.

And Bell Book and Candle is my favorite among these choices - one of my favorite 50's scores.

But I'm going metaphorical on you:

The Lion in Winter

AND

The Wind and The Lion

Because O'Toole and Connery are the two coolest cats in showbiz.

Can I make an honorable mention to this nifty and catchy TV theme by Brad Fiedel?

Yes, you can, Justin Boggan!!!!! One of my favorite TV themes EVER!

That beautiful cat was a character in the show....Cathrine Hicks' familiar...callled Dickens.

I've used that name for one of my cats.

Perhaps it does not exactly qualify but I've always loved this tune:

Don't like all of it (like some of the electronic/techno stuff), but it has some nice pieces
