Wouldn't it be something if Disney purchased the DW franchise?!
In news from Disney XD recently, the channel filled everyone on the airing of BBC’s “Doctor Who.” Beginning on May 9, 2015, viewers will have a chance to see seasons 2-4.
I was kidding of course. (But what isn't Disney buying up?)
This is a very surprising move by Disney. Some of the material is rather adult for an American kids station. I imagine they will censor some stuff. Also if they were going to pick a Doctor I would have thought it would have been Matt Smith. His version of the Doctor fits the channel better a lot better. But I guess the Amy Pond/Doctor dynamics are too suggestive for Disney.
Though Disney executives should be arrested for the utter crap that makes up the XD programming. So it's not like they have any moral standards. But that's another story.
(But what isn't Disney buying up?)
