So many things are coming! But next Monday, April 27 at noon, we have a very big and very historic announcement. It involves a single release, but it's a six CD set! And boy does it have a story to tell! This is one release that has to stand alone. Film music is supposed to be fun and this one is a blast! We'll see you then, at the Varèse Sarabande web site! Can't wait!! https://www.varesesarabande.com/

I'm sure it'll be obscure and something I'm totally not interested in.
My guess: A Herrmann at Universal set. Or at least Herrmann / Hitchcock at Universal.
What scores could be in that set? (sorry, I don't know which titles H/H titles are from Universal - I know only that Psycho is among them, but all the rest...)

Not sure you would class those scores under the banner 'Film music is supposed to be fun and this one is a blast!' though.
I reckon the clue (if there is one) is in here somewhere - "And boy does it have a story to tell! This is one release that has to stand alone".
Hmmm, I also think that this could be ONE score on 6 CDs, like Spartacus. First thoughts was Ten Commandments, but isn't this one will come from Intrada?

Depending on what actually still exists in the vaults, the Herrmann / Hitchcock titles would be:
THE TROUBLE WITH HARRY THE MAN WHO KNEW TOO MUCH (1956 version) VERTIGO PSYCHO MARNIE TORN CURTAIN (rejected)
Herrmann also scored some episodes of THE ALFRED HITCHCOCK HOUR, but none actually directed by Hitchcock (and Varese already released those scores through the Club relatively recently.)
Herrmann also scored the following non-Hitchcock titles at Universal:
