Cover art:

Official site:
http://naxosusa.com/2015/john-williams/

Oddly, the official site lists 3 additional pieces that aren't listed on the cover:

Olympic Fanfare and Theme
Soundings
The Duel from The Adventures of Tintin

While the cover lists one piece that isn't mentioned on the site

Amistad

Oh, and that youtube link mentions JAWS as well.

This is the world premiere commercial release of Soundings, BTW.

This concert was shown on Norwegian TV a few weeks ago (sans the "Soundings" bit, annoyingly). Glad to see it get a proper release. Especially nice to see the shots of Williams in the audience, with his daughter Jennifer (who often accompanies him for big events).

Very cool. Thanks for posting this Shaun. I've seen Williams in concert 5 times over the years here in Boston so would be nice to have a keepsake like this. It never gets old attending concerts of his.

NTSC-format only it seems...?

Apparently, it seems to be missing the cue from TINTIN (which has became a staple in Williams' concerts over the last couple of years). Could be a rights issue related to all the film clips. It was in the aforementioned TV broadcast.

That is for the DVD version which appears to be region free if that back cover remains unchanged. Most TVs can handle NTSC over here so shouldn't be an issue unless you have one that you know can't play it? This is of course a non-issue for the blu-ray.

Some further information. Any word if it's region free?

C Major is set to release A John Williams Celebration on Blu-ray. The Walt Disney Concert Hall performance features the Los Angeles Philharmonic paying tribute to composer John Williams (Star Wars, Schindler's List, Catch Me If You Can), and arrives on Blu-ray on June 30th.

John Williams is one of the greatest film composers of all time by any objective standard; his 49 Academy Award nominations are second only to Walt Disney himself. Williams and Walt Disney Concert Hall have gone together since the beginning. He opened the third inaugural gala, Soundstage L.A., in 2003 with the world premiere of his Soundings, a piece that has also provided the carillon lobby chimes that announce the end of intermission.

For the 2014/15 Opening Night Concert and Gala, the Los Angeles Philharmonic paid loving tribute to composer John Williams, long a champion and close friend of the LA Phil. Gustavo Dudamel, an awestruck fan of the musical icon, led the orchestra in a cross-section of Maestro Williams' matchless canon. Featuring Itzhak Perlman with a very special musical performance of pieces from Schindler's List, the Cadenza and variations from Fiddler on the Roof, as well as music from The Adventures of Tintin. Jazz elements fill the air during Escapades from Catch Me if You Can, and may the force be with you during the iconic tunes from Star Wars.

Tech specs and special features have yet to revealed. Selections include:
Olympic Fanfare and Theme
Three Pieces from Schindler's List
Cadenza and Variations from Fiddler on the Roof
The Duel from The Adventures of Tintin
Escapades from Catch Me If You Can
Throne Room and Finale from Star Wars

Huh. Now that listing includes Tintin, which the back cover art doesn't.

The image of the back cover above says "Region Code 0 (Worldwide)", for the DVD at least.
