I've been on a bit of a Frederik Wiedmann kick recently, and thoroughly enjoying his LLL D.C. Universe scores (Son of Batman, 2x Justice League and 2x Green Lantern CDs). I was wondering if we can be expecting further releases from this talented composer? Looking at his IMDB page, there seems to be a few more that he's scored: -- Beware The Batman (2014) -- JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time (2014) -- Batman vs Robin (2015) -- Justice League: Gods And Monsters (2015) I did a quick search for previous FSM topics, and there doesn't seem to be that much discussion. Even the LLL PR Release threads for his previous CDs don't seem to get too many replies. Come on folks, he's certainly a cut above what you would expect for these animated series. Unlike, for example, the Batman Animated Series volumes, which I feel come across like a collection of individual cues of varying styles, I find Wiedmann's CDs work considerably more as a cohesive whole, and his compositions show noticeable maturity. Who else is a fan? We need to spread the love...

I am a fan of Frederik Wiedman's work, particularly his work on the DC animation. His Green Lantern Animated Series work is probably my favorite, although I also really like his scores for the animated films. Justice League: Flashpoint is another of my favorites, and Justice League: Throne of Atlantis is definitely growing on me. That is disappointing to hear that Batman vs. Robin will not be released. Justice League: Gods and Monsters has not been released yet, so there is some hope that that score will get a release when the movie is released. While we are talking about DCU music, I would also love to see some more Christopher Drake releases. I would happily buy releases for Green Lantern: Emerald Knights and/or All-Star Superman.

Colour me shocked. By the way, did you know that the Pope's Catholic, and that Avengers: Age Of Ultron might not do too poorly at the box office? Lol, I suppose when you put it like that, my comment could be mis-interpreted. What I meant was, Wiedmann topics on this board don't seem to get many replies, which is a shame as his scores work very well as a whole. Whereas the Batman Animated Series CDs, which get a lot more interest on here, I feel tend to come across more like a selection of cues, which doesn't work for me as such a good listening experience. But as they seem more popular, I was just trying to promote Wiedmann for those who have maybe overlooked his work in favour of something more mainstream.

I asked MV about Batman VS. Robin - sadly LLL will not release it (and seems that no-one will release it). That's a shame. Any reason given? Yeah sadly no one buys them even though they are top notch productions. We are looking into gods and monsters though. MV

What I meant was, Wiedmann topics on this board don't seem to get many replies, which is a shame as his scores work very well as a whole. That came across loud and clear in the main post, don't worry. Whereas the Batman Animated Series CDs, which get a lot more interest on here, I feel tend to come across more like a selection of cues, which doesn't work for me as such a good listening experience. But as they seem more popular... They don't seem more popular, they ARE more popular. And I'm pretty sure roughly 100% of instrumental soundtrack albums are a "selection of cues." Yeah, I know, unified whole, but that doesn't alter the point. EDIT: Having sampled a couple of his video movie scores, he's not bad. But I don't share your enthusiasm at all. I'm out.
