I've just watched this film for the first time and I'm astonished how loud the music is of Bernard Herrmann. Great score, but too loud for the film. "Garden of Evil" is a bit of a pot-boiler which is improved with the music of a master - just wish they'd have turned it down a little as it was just so intrusive:
