We are getting a movie about Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys. Love the background music in the trailer, and l loved their sounds and songs. The movie looks like it will take on Wilson's illness which was a tragedy. It also looks like we'll get to hear some of their famous songs.

Was there not a Brian Wilson/Beach Boys documentary from the late '70s which had a bit in it where Dan Ackroyd and John Belushi--dressed in their Jake and Elwood Blues getups burst into Wilson's home, drag him out of the sandbox he had in the middle of the living room, and attempted to "snap him out of it"?

Brian Wilson's latest LP is gorgeous: No Pier Pressure. Yes- Brian had many tortuous years and lost a lot of time. But, let's not forget Carl and Dennis- they have passed tragically- they too were tortured souls thanks to their insane father. Brian is still alive and making music.

no mention yet of 'acid casualty', i wonder will the film be as skirting? but maybe this is not the piece for an in-depth exploration of the issue, very few people associate the music the Beach Boys made with the most terrifying effects drugs can have on the brain. all the same, what a great counterpoint score it would make.
