Such a heartache this news is!... so so sad... far too young.

Sad news. I met Jordan on the occasion of Jerry Goldsmith's last two concerts at the Barbican in London when a few of us met up for a meal and a few drinks before the concert. We had some interesting discussions that evening and if I remember correctly he was the big Kilar fan amongst us. R.I.P Jordan.

Yes, I saw this on facebook a few days ago. Very sad news, and it always feels particularly close when one of "our own" passes, even if we've never met them in real life.

RIP, Jordan.

Jordan's birthday was today, and because of the way Facebook works, his page is full of messages from people wishing him "happy birthday," without knowing. Argh...

I saw this as well. I'm in touch with Stefan Kusch, Lukas, and I'm wondering if you could help me fill in some blanks on a story Jordan told me back around '07.
Stefan would like to include the story as part of Jordan's memorial service, so I'd be very grateful for any help.

What I remember is that Jordan was quite young and wanted to see Lalo Schifrin in concert, but upon arriving found out that it was sold out. He decided just to hang out in front of the building and someone who took note of his disappointment went inside and told Lalo about the young man who was outside. Lalo went out and found Jordan and asked him to come inside. Well, the security staff refused to let him in due to his age and that he had no parental supervision, so Lalo told them that Jordan was his son. They bought it and Jordan was in!

It's such a great story! I'd love getting it right.
Please contact me if you have any details I've missed. zippyljs at yahoo.com

Drat! Guess I'll have to steal the tag line from JUDGE ROY BEAN...

"Maybe This Isn't The Way It Was - It's The Way It Should Have Been!"

Jordan's memorial is coming right up on the 22nd, so I feel like taking one more shot at getting the story right.
Unfortunately, due to multiple hacks on my email account, I decided to delete a whole bunch of contact addresses that I felt didn't deserve getting ad's from me for viagra or penis enlargement stuff.
I'm sure you can appreciate that Lukas...and you too Joe. wink

At any rate, I deleted my contact with Lalo Schifrin's assistant, Brooke something ...I think. Is she still employed with Lalo? If this is true, Lukas, I'd like to drop her a line just in the off chance that Lalo might remember this story of a young fan of his music.

Honestly, for all I know, Lalo being the thoughtful man he is, may have been fetching disappointed fans and bringing them into his concerts throughout his long career. Wouldn't surprise me in the least!

I have to admit that I hardly got to know Jordan, but I did have one brief friendly email exchange with him five years ago. He only lived 1-2 hours from where I live, but we didn't get too meet.

So it was still shocking for me to learn of his demise.
