Patrick Doyle will return to Prague to present concert of his scores from William Shakespeare adaptations, which will take place on August 21st, 2015 at Lichtenstein's Palace in Prague, Czech Republic.
The concert, which is being prepared in collaboration between FILM MUSIC PRAGUE, PRAGUE SHAKESPEARE COMPANY and Annual SHAKESPEARE CELEBRATIONS will feature Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, Kuhn's Choir (conducted by James Shearman) as well actors from Prague Shakespeare Company who will be performing monologues and dialogues from Shakespeare's plays personally handpicked by Mr. Doyle himself.
Here is a little clip from our last Doyle concert and the same piece will be also included in the next! Also featuring Guy Roberts from Prague Shakespeare Company and James Shearman conducting Prague Philharmonia for a change (the previous concert was performed by renowned Czech National Symphony Orchestra).
Great news. Thanks for the posting. Prague seems to be a movie music enthusiasts paradise in Europe. Went to the Harry Gregson Williams concert at The Dolfinium and loved it. Can't get to the Patrick Doyle concert but would appreciate updates of any other film music concerts in Europe.
too bad you can't make it... there is also Miklos Rozsa concert planned on September 27th (if I remember correctly) and next FMP events are on October 25th with James Horner Tribute and Michael Giacchino in Concert on the same day... then Star Wars concert shortly before christmas...

... and then the Morricone concert on the 15th of january at the O2 Arena, less then a year since his last concert there... with apparently a brand new program, but then again he said that for the 2015 concerts and we got nothing new, go figure.
