always enjoy these releases. and agree that ramin is underappreciated around these parts. I've really adored a number of his albums. also believe he is scoring hbo's upcoming westworld which should also yield some more great music!
Another excellent collection cues. Season 5 was not as good as s.4 but that was possibly the all-time greatest season of television!
One complaint: would it be too much trouble to have liner notes that contain some information about each cue..i.e the scene it accompanies? Some cues do contain the title of the ep but that isn't enuf.
Given the length of the episodes (55 min), it's actually not that much music in each episode. Seems like there's large portions that's not scored, also action scenes ... Doesn't seem to be more than what's in a "standard" 40-45 min episode of other shows (around ~20-25+/- min of score, or something !?)
While I like the main theme(s), it doesn't seem to be too many variations of it in the episodes...
I am finally getting around to picking up the album releases for GOT and purchased those for seasons 3, 4 and 5 recently. In listening to each one, I find that the season 5 albums is probably the strongest overall listen from start to finish, with memorable highlights throughout and great mix of bombast and lyrical tracks. The "Son of The Harpy" track is genuinely unnerving too.
