Greetings all from the UK. I've been a lecturer in film music studies for rather a long time and have built up a good collection of film music titles. My greatest claim to fame is that I arranged the Tom and Jerry at MGM suite that was played at the BBC Proms a couple of years ago https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYrUWfLlYI0 Anyway, now is the time to retire but I need to pass on my collection of Film Music books to the next generation (about 100 books in all) and I'm looking for someone who might like to buy them. There are many treasures in the collection and some absolute rarities. I'm thinking about £1,500 or $2,000 for what is, as far as I know a rather rare assemblage. Claudia Gorbman's book "Unheard Melodies" alone is worth $100 (check Amazon). Anyway, I can email a list and photograph of the collection to anybody interested. Thank you for reading! Peter Morris University of Surrey United Kingdom Peter, What an absolute pleasure that was to watch!!! Thank you so much for posting that! That must of been some really difficult music to arrange. I had a huge smile from ear to ear watching/listening to that! Thank you! And those sfx guys, how fun would that job be?! While I don't have anywhere near the funds to have your collection, it must be an absolute treasure trove of goodies, and an amazing "encyclopedia" of film music!
