Who else would like to see a release of Don Davis' scores for The Animatrix? La-La Land is the immediate label to come to mind, given their releases of other Matrix scores. A sample can be heard on Davis' site: http://www.dondavis.net/films/animatrix
I think a couple tracks of Davis's Animatrix score were released on the song album, but I believe they had dialogue snippets mixed over them (of course...).
I also think that whoever scored the "Beyond" segment (forget his name at the moment) released the 10-minute suite on his personal website. Not sure if it's still available. Beautiful music though.
Davis wrote some great music for The Animatrix, introducing some themes and musical ideas that would appear later that year in the sequels. I would be all over a release of The Animatrix score.
I believe this was discussed at the time LLL released their deluxe editions of his 2nd and 3rd scores for the series, but it proved too problematic, whether it was rights or materials I can't recall.
