I don't see the cue for Neville Sinclair's stage performance of The Laughing Bandit. That cue diffinetly sounds like Horner.

He had to do SOMETHING with his score for Willow II. smile

One of my all-time favorite scores. I would pick up an expanded score in a heartbeat. Having said that the only music that I really remember missing was Horner’s jazzy bit for the g-men right after Cliff crashes his Gee Bee.

The OST makes for a perfect listening experience, but I would still love the complete score. I'm not to interested in the jazzy cues, but "Test Flight" and " Jenny's Rescue" are big on my want list. Along with the propaganda music and the laughing bandit.

You mean the "Jenny's Rescue" that's already been released?

Ugh, sorry I'm not matching titles with scenes it appears. I'm talking about the attempted rescue at the club. Where Cliff must escape via the sunroof.

That's Jenny's Rescue. Track six.

Saw the film on Netflix. I wouldn't mind an expanded release, if only for that cue where Cliff realizes that it's a rocket pack and the music plays the main theme and the Sinclair theme simultaneously.

People like that cue a lot apparently. I never thought it was that remarkable (like "Oh, I HAVE to have that!") but what's interesting is I think that is the most consistently cited "missing" track.

Question: If there IS an expanded CD eventually, would you include the songs from the South Seas club? Would you include Sweet Little Headache? (For me? Oh, yes.)

Hi DeputyRiley,

I like very much your Complete Score Breakdown Series.

I'm used to do that on my first years of soundtrack.
So I have many files from films I watched on TV and did this same score breakdown.

I can send you all those files.
Maybe this could help you ;-)

Send me an email or send me yours.

My email: luigifilme at gmail dot com

Best,
Luigi

Luigi,

Thanks for your comments and willingness to help! How cool that you used to do this sort of thing yourself. I may be in touch with you soon to talk to you about those files.

According to the Soundtrack page on the film's IMDb page:

BARRAGE
Written and Performed by Charles Williams
(accompanies the Nazi newsreel sequence)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8K_u8B8E18

Justin,

that isn't the right track. This is the music: http://m.unippm.cn/en/Browse/Labels/CD%20Listing/CD%20Details/Track%20Details.aspx?cdId=992&cdPg=821&lid=0&wId=58127

Curiously, it is also titled Barrage.

I'm working on an isolated score for The Rocketeer and thought it'd be neat to include the newsreel source music. The link in this old post is dead, anyone know where to find the music?

EDIT: Stand down. It has been procured smile
