Yes, SAE also confirmed to me that they were out of stock and Intrada is pressing another batch. So that's good news!

Hot take: this is a really good score. One of Intrada’s best releases.

I just ordered this recently. It's less than 175 copies at Intrada. Better order now before it sells out.

HOTTER TAKE: It's my favourite JAWS score.

EDIT: Apparently I already said that.

I grew up with this bloated mess of a movie and loved seeing it in the cinema as a kid. Score is a guilty pleasure!

Haha maybe that's a bit too far, but that is indeed a hotass take! I have the original LP and a version of that on CD, and even though I usually return to that one when I want to hear the score, the 2CD version Intrada put out is just so comprehensive that I guess I'll do some sort of nutso hybrid to sweep up the extra bits from the film tracks (like that weird source cue that's basically just a version of the love theme).

Parker's "happy" music is just as good as the action stuff toward the end, too, so it's nice to have little bits of that in the complete tracks.

I saw the film in 3D a year or so ago at a revival screening (35mm, too) and walked away from it thinking that if this film were part of the first season a Jaws TV show, it would be one of the best episodes.

I've got the original LP release of this score, so I skipped its release on CD, but I snatched up the 2CD set when it came out. It is top notch (something that cannot be said about the movie. :-) )

Haha like HIGHWAY TO HEAVEN, but with sharks. Next week, Jaws helps a foster kid find his forever family and saves Christmas.

Grabbed it during the sale, before being terrorized by the looming, 3D SOLD OUT smashing through... as a still image!

Continuing my Jaws score restores a vídeo I prepared with the "score restore" of the different versions of two tracks from JAWS 3-D (comparing "workprint cut" and "theatrical cut")

1) Music for the Overman's Last Dive scene (original and rescored version [unused])
2) Music for the Dolphin Rescue (original and rescored version)

It's a wonderful film score; I got the original soundtrack LP way back when it came out (and I still have it), and when Intrada released this 2CD set, I had to have it. It uses just the right amount of Williams' own classic "JAWS" theme but otherwise completely finds its own tone. Amazing that Parker didn't become a more high profile film composer after this. OK, the movie was nothing to write home about, but the music was an excellent third "JAWS" entry.
