Actress Betsy Palmer, who got her start in live television by appearing on various anthology series and was a panelist on various game shows and played Pamela Vorhees in "Friday The 13th" has died. Any favorite performances or rememberances of her?

This is amazing.
I was just looking up internet references for Bess Myerson, and I found a great photo of her with the cast of I've Got A Secret, including Betsy Palmer!

I wish I knew how to post that photo here, but I'm a LOW-Tech guy.

Saw her in a regional production of Terrence McNally's play, "A Perfect Ganesh," in, of all places, Tucson.

She was quite good, and I've always liked the play, about an older woman whose son has died of AIDS, and who seeks knowledge from a trip to India.

Ms. Palmer was noted for her theatre performances in her later life, including a Broadway revival of an updated by Tennessee Williams of his "Summer and Smoke," called "Eccentricities of a Nightingale."

I always liked her; she had a refreshing presence.

For my late father, Betsy was his favourite member of the I'VE GOT A SECRET panel. He would never miss a show just to see her...

I thought she was very good in the Joan Crawford vehicle QUEEN BEE. As an actress she held up well against all that scenery chewing, even though her character didn't.

As a big fan of the classic Goodson-Todman panel shows of the 50s-60s (thanks to GSN repeats), it's sad to see that in the last six months, the three surviving ladies of "I've Got A Secret" all left us. First Bess Myerson, then Jayne Meadows and now Betsy. With Polly Bergen's death last year (she'd been on "To Tell The Truth" from 1956-61) that leaves only Orson Bean as the last surviving regular panelist (TTTT, 1963-68) from these great primetime panel shows of the past.

I've ended up knowing Betsy more for her game show work than her film work (save "Mister Roberts" which was my first introduction to her) but she was a magnificent presence with the girl next door quality that might then say the wrong thing or a risqué thing out of the blue to break the image. RIP.

I remember her fondly from all that TV and, on the big, wide screen, the nurse who Ensign Pulver pursues in MISTER ROBERTS.

She also played Rod Steiger's sister in law in the "Goodyear Television Playhouse"'s production of "Marty".
