I watched "Where the Red Fern Grows" on Netflix today. It is the family film released in 1974, not the remake which came out in 2003. The film is in the same vein as Disney's "Old Yeller" and "Big Red". It has a serviceable score by Lex de Azevedo. The big surprises were the songs written by The Osmonds and sung by Andy Williams.
