I had a list of composers I wanted to see conduct their music.
There is Mr. Horner gone.
(but a concert celebrating his music would be magnificent)
I have so loved his myriad works- He had so much ahead of him.
He had such range and depth but right now I am especially caught by FIELD OF DREAMS, one of the most delicate, subtle tracks ever scored, in particular Track 10, (NIGHT MISTS)
My first experience with his music was the end credits for TESTAMENT (Jane Alexander).
The birthday cake scene with all the ordinariness of life wrought with tenderness and restraint.
Perfect.
I am so happy I appreciated this rare mind.
