Apparently, the original cut of "...Jimmy Reardon" was a much different film (originally titled "Aren't You Even Going To Kiss Me Goodbye?") and is now being sold by the director on his website. However, the filmscore was originally penned by Bernstein but was thrown out as being too "heavy" (the film was apparently totally changed by the studio from a soft-R rating to PG to bring in River Phoenix's fanbase) and replaced by Bill Conti (and released by Varese Club).

Definitely interested to hear what the original score was. Bernstein doing "heavy drama" for a film where Meredith Salenger runs around in a prom dress sounds like something tailor made for me.

Looks like some of that score can be heard in this trailer made by the director - http://youtu.be/HhrVBlylE7A
