I actually had a chance to meet this remarkable woman several years ago when a mutual friend invited me to a dinner and movie party and Frances was one of the other guests. At the time the name sounded familiar but I didn't connect it to Fitzgerald, which is probably just as well because I would have spent the whole evening asking her about her experiences with him and I'm sure she got tired of talking about that. Instead we all had a great evening talking about movies, favorite writers and a lot of other stimulating topics. A truly memorable evening.
