Saw this via Facebook:

Has a vintage photo of Horner, circa high school years (presumably late '60s, early '70s).

Are they having a service that people can attend?

I found it touching that at a Legacy site for James Horner, a man left a message saying "I had just met you at our daughters High School Graduation and you were so nice and humble".

It was cool that James Horner was successfully able to keep his family and personal life out of the media. I have never seen a photo of him with his wife and two daughters, one who from the above message just graduated High School. My heart is broken for his wife and daughters.

This is very sad.

Since his death, I've found I haven't mourned for future Horner scores I'll never hear. That honestly hasn't really crossed my mind. But the shocking suddenness and irreversibility of death has made me think of his wife and children, even though before his death I never knew he was married or a father.
