As it was said earlier, the Train (with other Granier Deferre movies) is among his best. Too Bad, the entire score of Clean Slate has not been released yet, only in a Tavernier compilation. I also recommend The Princess of Montpensier, one of his last collaborations with Tavernier, especially the end credit which is a real masterpiece. There's another one, very hard to find, Ennemis Intimes, which is extremely good, some kind of haunting concerto for piano and orchestra.

I must admit I've missed out on Sarde but am going to pick up Ghost Story and The Tenant. Some really helpful recommendations in this thread. So thank you so much.
