Play results of Japan VS USA are one victory, 23 times of defeats, six times of draws.
USA is very tough team.

Tough by reputation more than anything. 16 years I believe since they won the World Cup. Fortunate to beat the Germans I thought, dubious looking penalty award. The US team do have the best thing about the tournament though, that being Alex Morgan. Yum!wink

I hear one player scored a hat-trick in the first hàlf including lobbing the keeper from her own half. Well done USA. Have it taped and will watch it later.

We watched the whole game because we were soccer parents. Yeah, U.S.A.

So happy for our girls! My bestie is there (@ World Cup) with her hubby and kiddos. (She just texted about how amazing it has been?!?) And on the heels of the 4th of July...we have so much to be proud of...definitely feeling blessed!!!

GO USA!!!

P.S. Feeling the love from one soccer parent to another smile

There certainly was from the Japanese 'keeper Bill, who made a hash of this long range effort...

...and lots of shrilling and shrieking, and people with silly hats and placards. It's football, but not as we know itwink

Well, its a good thing it bears no resemblance or relevance to the mens game then!! ha ha
personally i think the media are on a bit of "lets see if we can control the masses and keep plugging womens football until we convince them its as important as the mens game!!"
Sky sports relentless coverage is way way beyond what it merits.
Weve even had shots of eng squad cuddling each other at the airport and reading out their dreary tweeties about landing and what they got at duty free.

I feel the same way! (But without the beat.) We were going for England on the round spot-on ~ perhaps the next year smile

And Joan, yah, we'll be on the field come August. It's a bit hot here, and we don't begin *officially* until then. Love our girls...they get such the best of everything!!!

Have a great evening Y'all!! smile
