You're okay without a legitimate release of Blade Runner complete? Do you even like film music?

I'm pretty much done already. I'm sure my memory is imperfect, but the only things coming to mind that I've ever loved and don't have are TV series.

The Six Million Dollar Man (Nelson)

China Beach (Chihara)

Man From Atlantis (tapes don't exist)

And I'm sure some other things. But you can't own everything and I own a lot. So life is good.

When I look at my list above compared to how long it was a decade or so ago (probably about 10 times as much), I consider myself quite lucky that so many I once longed for have now been released.

He listed SILENT MOVIE. Obviously, the answer to that question is 'yes'.

I love film music but wouldn't be caught dead with Blade Runner in my collection!

I'm winding down regarding film and TV music too. If I could send a photo of my CDs 15 years into the past, my younger self wouldn't know what the hell happened in the future. We really are a lucky little niche.

Let's see... most are expansions...

Starship Troopers (complete)
RoboCop 2 (complete)
RoboCop 3 (complete)
Blade Runner (complete; there ya go)
Terminator 2 (complete; doubtful)
Alien 3 (complete; also doubtful)
Batman & Robin (stop being jerks, Warner Bros!)
Small Soldiers (complete)
The Omen - Goldsmith (complete)
The Final Conflict (complete)
The Mummy - Goldsmith (complete)
The Mummy Returns (complete)
The Matrix (complete)
Tron (complete)
Conan the Destroyer (complete)
Legend - Tangerine Dream (complete)
Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi (remastered, complete, and with cues separated and alternates at the end of the presentation)
The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith (complete)
Indiana Jones (all four complete)
Jaws (complete re-release sans digital noise reduction)
"Scorpion" from Star Trek: Voyager

I'm sure I forgot something, but this is the big stuff.

I'm not sure that I would stop collecting, but I would really love these:

The Getaway (1994) Mark Isham

The Jackal (1997) Carter Burwell

Surviving the Game (1994) Stewart Copeland

Don't go in the House (1980) Richard Einhorn

The Return of the Living Dead (1984) Various (the score, obviously)

Exorcist III (1990) Barry De Vorzon

Just to name a few

I would stop further collecting if they released...scores only as digital downloads with no physical media.

It's more important to have a CD than the actual music then? What if 'Lossless' downloads were on offer?

Oh, half a dozen LP's that are still unreleased on CD, & maybe a 10-18 original scores. These days it's a very good year if I buy three or four releases.

I would stop if releases only came out on vinyl.

I honestly can't say there is a stoppoing point. I have to look at some people funny that have so few titles and mostly name things; there's a wealth of mateial out there. Every few months from scouring youtube for obscure films, series and so forth, I end up discovering something new I'd love to have that hasn't been released.

This! I keep discovering things I never heard before and really enjoy. Like 21-22 Jump Street, Naked Gun, among others. Things I had no knowledge of until they were released.

On top of that I could easily list hundreds of first time releases or expansions I would like to see happen.

A lot of the older scores that people (& I) want, just don't exist anymore (50's, 60's & some seventies), they're in some landfill somewhere. There is the odd very welcome discovery like: One-Eyed Jacks, 55 Days At Peking & Cromwell, & hopefully a few more will show up.
